The oral semaglutide liquid offered through BetterMe Rx is a compounded medication prepared by licensed 503A or 503B pharmacies. This formulation is not FDA-approved and is not the same as the commercially manufactured product Rybelsus®, which is currently the only FDA-approved oral semaglutide.

What Is Compounded Oral Semaglutide?

Compounded oral semaglutide in liquid form (commonly delivered as oral drops) is made by licensed pharmacies in response to a prescription for an individual patient, in compliance with Section 503A or 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. This option may be used when a commercially available alternative is unavailable or not appropriate for the patient.

This compounded formulation has not been reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. BetterMe Rx does not claim clinical or therapeutic equivalence to Rybelsus® or any other FDA-approved semaglutide product.
