How to take Semaglutide / Tirzepatide?

Compounded Oral Semaglutide (Liquid Drops)

Take the prescribed number of drops once daily by mouth at the same time each day, preferably on an empty stomach with water. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after taking the dose unless otherwise instructed. Always follow your provider’s dosing instructions carefully.

Compounded Injectable Semaglutide

Inject the medication subcutaneously (under the skin) once weekly, on the same day each week. The injection can be administered in the stomach, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation. Do not inject into muscle or vein.

Compounded Oral Tirzepatide (Tablets)

Take one tablet daily by mouth with water. It's best to take your dose around the same time each day. Follow the instructions provided by your pharmacy and prescribing provider, and avoid food for 30–60 minutes after dosing unless otherwise directed.

Compounded Injectable Tirzepatide

Inject subcutaneously once per week on the same day each week. You may inject into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate sites and follow all preparation and injection instructions provided by your pharmacy or healthcare provider.

What should I do if I miss a dosage?

Oral Semaglutide / Oral Tirzepatide

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember—unless it’s been more than 24 hours. If it’s close to your next dose, skip the missed one and return to your regular schedule. Do not double up on doses.

Injectable Semaglutide / Injectable Tirzepatide

If you miss your weekly dose and it’s been less than 4 days, take it as soon as possible. If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and resume your regular weekly schedule. Do not take two injections within 3 days of each other.

How should I store GLP-1 medications like Semaglutide / Tirzepatide?

Oral Semaglutide (Liquid Drops)

Store in the refrigerator between 36–46°F (2–8°C) unless otherwise instructed by the pharmacy. Do not freeze. Once opened, some formulations may be stored at room temperature — follow the pharmacy’s label or insert.
